Today, it is estimated that facial surgery is the most commonly sought after cosmetic procedure as there are many different associated benefits. This article will explore the many different options that are available.
Various Facial Surgery Options
Face Lift
A face lift is a fairly common cosmetic surgery which offers a permanent solution to those that want to look younger and fresher. A face lift works by tightening the skin and thus reducing the appearance of wrinkles, it is particularly beneficial for removing unwanted lines around the eyes and mouth. A face lift is a fairly invasive surgery, and may require a lengthy recovery period, yet after the surgery the results look natural and well worth the pain.
Eye Surgery
Some patients suffer with excessive skin located around the eye, which can seriously impair their vision. There are various cosmetic surgery options available that can correct this condition, improving the patients’ sight and the puffiness under the eye.
Neck Surgery
Although not necessarily face surgery, procedures that help with neck skin problems fall into the same category. This type of cosmetic surgery can remove the appearance of a double chin and help tighten the skin when it loses collagen. Neck surgery is a less invasive cosmetic surgery option meaning that the recovery period is generally shorter than that compared to a face lift. This obviously varied from patient to patient.
Nose Surgery
Nose surgery, otherwise known as a rhinoplasty, is a cosmetic operation where the surgeon improves the look of a nose. Many patients often feel that their nose it too big or too long resulting in them losing self confidence in themselves. The surgeon will alter the bones and cartilage in the nose, which gives it a certain shape or structure. This type of cosmetic surgery does not only improve the appearance of a nose but also can help patients who find it difficult to breathe.
Before opting for cosmetic surgery in Birmingham, London or throughout the UK it is important to attend a consultation beforehand. During this time the surgeon can assess you general health and determine whether your aims are realistic or not. He or she will also explain all options available to you and highlight any potential risks; these can be reduced by following the guidelines the surgeon gives you beforehand such as stopping smoking. When choosing a surgeon it is important to consider how experienced and trained they are, it is recommended that you ask to see photos of previous operations.

I can say generally that in the UK, it can range from £1200 – £12,000 depending on what you want done.
I think in US dollars, that’s about $2800 – $14,500.
I would be very surprised if your insurance covered anything cosmetic unless you go through a lot of doctors and a lot of court time meaning you’d probably have to fork our more cash for solicitors and lawyers anyways. And you’d have to do this despite whether you win your case or not.
The best thing to do would be to get a free consultation with a cosmetic surgeon in your area, where they will be able to give you a generalised quote as to how much it would all cost. Then ask your insurance company if they’d cover the costs of your cosmetic surgery due to an accident.
